Reflecting on the Glide App Marketplace
Have you ever wondered what happens when you combine thousands of industry experts who build software with businesses hungry for solutions that actually work? Glide’s App Marketplace was designed for that.
We all know how effective custom business applications are for businesses. The successes of Glide Experts’ clients speak for themselves. The App Marketplace was an experiment to see if we could help more businesses discover and deploy custom solutions—faster and more easily.
It would be a new space for Glide’s incredible Experts community to showcase their industry-specific expertise and craftsmanship. It would help connect businesses that are seeking better, more customized solutions to their challenges with the Experts who could help them.

What was the Glide App Marketplace?
The Glide App Marketplace was where businesses could access fully built, ready-to-launch Glide apps built by Certified Experts.
Certified Experts could submit base apps, either specifically built for the Marketplace or replicated from the structure of successful apps they’ve built before. Businesses could browse those apps and easily purchase them, with each purchase including personalized configuration and customization services.
Experts would benefit from connecting with targeted customers, and clients would benefit from getting customizable solutions they can immediately implement and interact with. It would also establish direct connections with the professionals who built them and can help ensure the software perfectly fits their unique business needs.
What kinds of apps would live in the App Marketplace?
Glide powers over 100,000 businesses in manufacturing, retail, real estate, tech, and more. While each business has unique needs and specific systems in place, there are also many commonalities within similar industries or teams.
The best Marketplace apps would build a streamlined foundation off those common needs, while leaving space for customization. The Marketplace would givE these experts a platform to showcase their industry-specific solutions, reach new customers, and build their business around their Glide expertise.

Designed specifically for small to medium-sized businesses without dedicated HR departments, this solution incorporated industry best practices gained through years of professional HR management experience.
Agency Management System by Gideon Lahav
Gideon Lahav listed the exact agency management system he developed and uses daily to run his own successful business. This solution, refined through practical application and continuous improvement, was available on the Marketplace to all freelancers and agencies seeking enterprise-grade workflow management without enterprise-level complexity.

Will the Glide App Marketplace return?
While there are no current plans to restore the Glide App Marketplace, we consider it a successful experiment, and we were thrilled to see our Certified Experts embrace it as a new way to reach and serve their clients. You can expect to see lessons learned from our App Marketplace experiment applied to future work.
